About Melissa
Born and raised in Birmingham (UK) since 1981, Melissa has lived the life of an entrepreneur from an early age. In her young teens, Melissa was also exploring entrepreneurial ventures and whilst she wasn’t clear on what her future looked like, she always knew that she would be running businesses.
After embarking on a career in Social Housing in 2001, Melissa’s appetite for property became apparent, leading her onto investing and building a portfolio herself and in later years launching a boutique estate agency ‘Amity Properties’ in 2004.
After successfully building the business from scratch, cultivating a solid team and disrupting the market with her unique approach to selling & letting homes, Melissa kept in line with her plan and went on to sell the business at the end of 2019.
Training
Melissa has been running Engage Training & Consultancy Ltd since 2010 and been a Senior Associate of AKD Solutions since 2011 which has enabled her to deliver a wide range of training & consultancy for a wealth of clients internationally including Tesco; Toyota Europe; C&A; Warner Bros & Extra Care Charitable Trust amongst many more on topics including Cultural Awareness; Diversity & Inclusion; Entrepreneurship; Leadership etc.
Business Coaching
After the successful sale of her estate agency business in December 2019, Melissa has entered 2020 with a new focus to help other entrepreneurs & small business owners to experience more success, growth and clarity for their business and their personal lives, through the delivery of live events and training programmes related to business improvement & growth. Melissa also coaches entrepreneurs on a 1-2-1 basis (limited) and in group sessions, particularly Mastermind Groups.
Professional Speaking
Melissa graduated from The Professional Speakers Academy in 2019, after intensive training combined with key professional speaking events she is now actively public speaking at her own events and as a guest speaker. Melissa loves to inspire others through telling her story and adding value to people’s lives & businesses wherever she can.
